Welcome MessageAn Open Letter to Parents and Guardians.
Welcome to Mr. Alfonso's Spanish I and II classes. I am very excited to teach this year. And even more excited to have your child in my class. I've always wanted to be a teacher since my junior year here - at Sandalwood! I had two teachers that made a tremendous impact in my high school career, and consequently my life. Mr. Frencl, my AP Calculus teacher pushed us to limits and never gave up on us. (I got a 5 on the AP test!) Mrs. Anderson, my AP Spanish teacher always had the charisma, uniqueness, fun, and talent to make sure we were fluent by the end of the year. She always injected fun, cultural activities into our lessons. (I also got a 5 in the AP Spanish exam!) This year, with the use of technology, it is very easy to get in contact with parents and guardians. I cannot impress any harder the importance of parental involvement when it comes to your child's success. Everything that you will ever need to know about what goes on in my classroom is contained in this website. All handouts, worksheets, videos, audio files - simply everything is uploaded on a daily basis for your reference. They are sorted by date so you can easily spot the progress of your child! |
